Your Heaviest Turkey?

I was wondering what everyone's biggest bird was by weight. My friend just shot a real nice 27 lbs Tom today and he says that it will definitely be the biggest he ever gets in his life, do you all agree?

I shot a 27 lb. gobbler 4 years ago here in Iowa with a shotgun. My biggest eastern bird prior to that one was 23 lbs. I know of a number of hunters that have harvested 27 lb gobblers, but very few over 28 lbs.

My first bird was also my heaviest by far. 28 pounds, next closest to that was 25.5

Out of the three toms I have killed the heaviest one was 24 pounds.

First Tom I ever shot weighed 29 lbs. That same year during 4th season I shot another big Tom that weighed 26.5

First bird I killed in IA was my biggest by far at 28lbs. Next to that would be those little Missouri birds at 26lbs being next in line. Biggest bird would be from Kentucky with 11 3/4 inch beard, and 1 7/8 inch spurrs, but only weighed 20.5 lbs.

My biggest was my first, 25#. When we went to clean it we found out he was full of gang green and smelled awful. Wonder what he would have weighed healthy. The biggest I missed? Won't go into that.
