    NR Statewide Options

The DNR cut the number of non resident tags available for zone 2 in half so it will probably take longer now to get a bow tag for hamilton county and northern boone county

    Interesting article

I completley agree that the short term effect of having less hunters may benefit those of us that hunt right now. My only worry is that in the future as the percentage of us who hunt drops- the less our opinions, money and most importantly our votes, will matter.

    Interesting article

I despise NPR and completly agree that they try to shove a liberal agenda on us every chance they get. That said, it is still not great that the percentage of Americans that hunt has dropped in half over the last 50 years. It has its short term benefits such as less competition for hunting...

    Peroxide Solution

Magnesium Carbonate mixed with hydrogen peroxide works well. It can be bought at Van Dykes taxidermy supply. You mix the two together to form a paste, then paint it on the skull. When it dries leave it out in the sun for a few days then rinse it off.

    Skull cleaning

If you plan on doing a lot of them in the future it's pretty easy to do yourself if you have the right stuff. Skin the head and remove as much meat as possible. Then boil it for an hour or two. Every now and then you can remove it from the water and try to get more flesh off. Needle nose...
