    Free Soybeans - Centerville Area

Just bough a new farm near Centerville. The previous farmer left me a whole bunch of Dynagro soybeans. These are from last year. I plan to plant a few acres in the next week or so but will have quite a few bags left over. I'm not local but will be out the weekend of 5/15/16/17 if someone can...

Super Cal 98 - Centerville Area

Anyone know of a place to buy Super Cal 98 in the Centerville area? How about a good seed store for food plot seed? I'm new to the area and trying to find my way around.

    Egyptian Wheat

Do you have any plans to get your EW in the ground early this year Paul? I know we are ahead of schedule in SE Iowa but not sure how that relates to planting time with EW. Dan

    Copy of a news letter

Alright guys I'm here to eat crow. I was misinformed about the archery regulations. I was under the impression it was the same for archery as gun. I knew they changed the law to eliminate archery doe tags but did not realize party hunting with a bow was never legal. For the record I have never...

    Demand for Mid-West Land

Somebody wants to start a business in your state and you all start crying. What about all the other companies out there that sell real estate. Have you ever sold a house? Most people use a realtor. I own ground in Iowa and it wouldn't bother me a bit if it wen't up in demand/value. Not a bad...

    Mineral and feeding ban:

People were dying as a result of not wearing their seatbelts. No proof that any deer have or will die from mineral licks. Poor example. This is a ridiculous proposal and should go away.

    DNR Banning Mineral

This would be one of the silliest laws yet. And there are some dumb ones out there.

    DNR Banning Mineral

I don't anyone is saying there are too many deer, I think the point is that that is when diseases start getting spread. If the carrying capacity of the land is being exceeded that is when diseases start to appear. I don't think Iowa is exceeding the capacity in most areas.

    DNR Banning Mineral

I think you all should write your congressman and have them outlaw mineral licks by non residents. I am sure if cwd ever makes it to Iowa it will be because of them. J/K To think that not putting out mineral licks is going to prevent any natural disease from infecting a deer herd to me doesn't...

    grizhawkinsdesigns t-shirts

I really like the design. If your looking for some feedback the thing that gets me to buy tshirts as much as the design is the material. I really like lightweight material, especially the underarmor type material. Looking good so far.

    Switchgrass

Dbl Tree, I thought I read that you were going to trial using OUST as a preemergent for you new switchgrass stands. I was wondering if you had an opinion on that. I can probably get some atrizine but not as easily as oust. If you think oust would be as effective at what rate would you apply...

    Alfalfa

How is your Falcata looking now doubletree. I'm thinking of planting some this summer. I could plant falcata or "regular" alfalfa but would only be planting 5 acres so income wouldn't be much. Do you feel like the deer like the falcata well enough?

    Switchgrass

Lickcreek, My farm is very near your property, I am just south of Fairfield, I will be ordering switchgrass soon. I have found a seed dealer about 300 miles SW of my property but the cave-in-rock seed is $3.50 per pound cheaper than Osenbaugh's. Do you think I would be better off with...
