I agree it should be more but even at only $5000, at least Iowa takes poaching seriously. In my home state, you would never see a fine like that. Even if it was a world record.

I just received a email from a outfitter in Iowa that knew that I drew a tag and what zone it was for. Is there a list of successful applicants or does the dnr release this info to outfitters?

I had a buck last year (2009) that was strikingly similar. Actually referred to him as caribou. Rack just reminded me of the shovel on a caribou. was hoping to see how he matured but no sightings since last yr. Still holding out hope though.

The backup bow is a absolute must. There is no way that I could be waiting on a part or trying to tune and site in a new or fixed bow during prime time. I even go as far as having extra sights ready so all I have to do is slap them on the bow if needed; already sighted in.

Dandy buck, but pic is deceiving. He's got it pushed way out in front of him. Seems when people do that its because its not as big as they want us to believe. Just my $.02.

Preferences. Alpha has 14x12 seat, Assault has 8x12 seat. Is 8x12 comfortable. Assault is 10.5 lbs on web site but I see catalogs listing it as 8.5. Opinions please.
