So since this last update ,I have re-newed my app every year with the ASC OFFICE and after all this time I'm getting some money for a timber stand improvement plan by a certified forester. When I have the plan in hand ,I can then apply for money to implement the plan. Being a realist...
That's a good point. I've read some monsanto literature about RU resistant weed and the are suggesting a tank mix with 2-4-D. I have been doing that for some years on new plots for a good burn down and experience has taught me you had to wait at least 4 weeks after the gly/2-4-D mix.
update
A few years ago I tried planting some apple seeds without knowing what would the outcome would be. You can refer to this link for my first posting on this subject.

Thanks Sligh. In certain sections, they dominate,so I'll thin them to 10 large ones an acre. They are good for target practice shooting the fuzzy seeds .
Great question! I've been trying to get this answered for a long time. What are the for sure trees to hinge ? I do know that you are better off killing locusts off with tordon. If you don't you'll have them everywhere off the roots.
Thanks for the input. I'm not in a big hurry. Next year would be fine. I'd rather take my time and know I'm not being taken advantage of. Thanks again.

I'd like to throw something out here and get some opinions. I've got a small property I bought almost 25 years ago in Pike county Illinois . The property has not been logged since I have owned it and as best I can recall it looks like it might have been logged 10-15 years before I bought it...
This might be a bit late, but you don't mention what sabot you are using. I agree a likely place to look is the scope, how ever the wrong sabot will do the same thing. The best sabots I've used have been MMP and Harvester ribbed. I shoot a Sav. MLII and always got good accuracy with XTP's but...
The proven accuracy load for the MLII is 59.5 gr VV n120, Harvester crush rib sabot and the .458 diameter 300 grain Barnes bonded original spire point. MOA accuracy in the 4 MLII'S in my camp.
I have a 10 MLII since they first came out. I can't imagine why you would want anything else. Head and shoulders above any other ML. Check out dougs message board for blog just for the Savage ML. http://dougsmessageboards.proboards.com/
Thanks for your help Paul. It's taken a while but I'm getting the hang of this. Starting last year, about this time , I broadcast ladino and red over and ghr on this strip.
By October there were some signs of a salad bar.
The pic dated 8-13-12 is actually 8-29-13
