Are they gobblin??

Hey guys, I'm up north of the border (MN) visiting family for the weekend, but I'm dying to know if the warm weekend has the turkeys gobbling. Predator...I know you've been out there, so give me the report.

How right you are. The toms were definitely gobbling this morning. I also watched one group of eleven turkeys that had 2 toms, 5 jakes, and 4 hens. It was quite interesting to watch because one of the hens would fan out like a tom in full strut and would jump up and bounce off the breast of one of the jakes, like she was trying to drive it out of the group. This is only the second time I have seen a hen fan out like a tom.

P.S. Yes, I can tell the difference between a hen and a jake!
