The annual migration of a half million of so of these birds is getting underway again. The nasty weather kept them away a couple weeks more than normal.

I used to live in the panhandle of Nebraska, went to high school there, and saw these birds and their migration numbers are neat to see.
 
Nice shot, Jay! You got a couple of them in mid-jump as part of their dancing ritual. Hope to be back in good ol' Nebraska before too long and enjoying this annual spectacle again!
 
I hear they taste like Whooping Crane on the grill.

Actually they taste more like spotted Owl. I prefer them with a side dish of California Condor eggs all served up on a elephant ivory platter.:way:

As a side note, I don't know what happened to the camera tonight since it wasn't moving and it was still daylight out when it was pitch black here. I think they were running file footage.:mad:
