Last year during opening morning of MN Rifle season I had 2 toms gobble every time a gun shot was with in 3/4 of a mile while on the roost. Finally they flew down about 1hour after day break and I saw them strutting in the edge of the field.
Had three big toms in full strut on the tree limbs this morning just going to town with their gobbling. Almost had to strut on up their myself to tell them to knock it off for another month and a half. Let's just say it will be a tough day at work thinking about them big ol' thunderchickens exploding in the trees this morning.
