Shotgun season is off to the worst season I can ever remember. Haven't seen any mature bucks and the doe numbers are painfully low. Fingers crossed people leave the does alone and we get back

Hill today pushing and either tire everything in my ankle or broke it. Heading to hospital now- deer season is
Over for me and most likely 2nd split of

Oh man hope you recover. That's insult to injury there! I had family hunting near stockport and they said the same thing.
 
Sorry about your luck, this time last year I had 16 mounts come in. This yr zero... I heard one shot all weekend and it was my neighbor shooting a doe.
 
I hear you, I fractured and dislocated my right ankle on the first bow hunt of the year. Morning of November 3rd. Never made it to the stand. I now have 7 screws, one plate and two big screws in my ankle. It has be a long and painful hunitng season. I just hope I get a boot on the 18th, so I can go late muzzleloader. 6 Weeks in a cast and non-weight bearing. Hang-in there!:(:way:
 
Just left ER- not broke- torn tendons-
Need to see a foot specialist tomorrow they say- I'm in a boot heading back to cabin. Lol. This is how great stories are made- so I was there sitting in my boot and out comes this monster:).
 
Hope everything heals ok. Sometime it is better to have a break then the damage to tendons and stuff. Ask me I know. :(
