South Dakato P Dogs

BDAHMS

Be here Now
So in early June I am supposed to be going out to South Dakota with a good buddy to shoot some Prairie dogs and the land owner he had gone too the last few years just sold his property. So I figured I would ask on here first before the knocking method-

anyone on here any have connections out in SD?? PM me if so-

thanks in advance!!

There's a lot of walk on ground out there and public. Check those out along with sdgfp prairie dog map, might find some good areas that way.

find the dogs, knock on doors. You may get a few ranchers that want $, but most ranchers still hate them and you should be able to find a few spots.

If public land is ok for you (if you are willing to walk), check out the online map of public lands: http://gfp.sd.gov/images/WebMaps/Viewer/WILMA/

If you find Ted Turners land... go to his neighbors. They hate the fact that Ted likes them.

Thanks for the info! walking is definately not an issue with our group

and Jackson County I believe

Go visit the nearest ranger/dnr station to where you will be hunting. They keep lists of ranchers who allow PD hunters.
