Fun weekend chasing snows

BDAHMS

Be here Now
Went down to Missouri for the second year in a row chasing snow geese- ended with 60ish for the weekend. Not as good as expecting but a great weekend! had a good buddy come with and film it all and take some photos. The drone footage is amazing but dont have any of that done yet.

Love it! Whacking snows is great fun!!! Plus it's guilt free. Kinda like fishing hatchery salmon! Congrats on a fun time!

Amazing how many there are. Is this something people eat? Would have to think it’d be tough as shoe leather.

last year we didnt keep any because of the way everyone described them as terrible tasting. This year our guide had some snow goose salami and it was phenominal. So I cleaned every one of them we shot this year and I am going to try them a few ways. If I dislike them I guess ill get a lot of salami made:)

Snow geese taste good in the spring, not the best in the fall. Most people overcook it giving it the bad rap.

A bunch of us used to go after them in South Texas for a week each fall. Typically ended up with a couple hundred each year. Boned most of them out, mixed with some prk and made bratwurst. Pretty durn good stuff!
