What I've Been Up To During Quarantine

It's been a long past couple months interviewing for jobs all over the nation trying to find something permanent with zero luck. I've spent every afternoon after work for applying for new jobs or writing new cover letters. My job here with Colorado Parks and Wildlife is only nine months temporary. I've been working with them since January after guiding all fall for an outfitter in Craig, Colorado for Elk and Deer. I'm taking care of a variety of ungulate and predatory animals. If any of you are out this way and would like to see the facility while I'm still here feel free to contact me!

Shed season was slow this year and I was only able to find around 115 sheds (not all pictured) total this season with only three elk sheds after hiking a little over 525 miles. I'll probably end up going out a few more times this season, but, only for short 5-10 mile walks instead of 20 :)

Last weekend was busy, I ended up heading up to Wyoming to fish with my buddy and ended up buying a turkey tag thanks to Coronavirus for extending the season. Brought an intern from work and he ended up missing a bird, but, he caught his first walleye and smallmouth. He's from Louisiana and amazed with all the public land opportunities here out west and lack of people hunting/fishing. I ended up getting a Merriam's, catching a 31" Northern, a few 16" Walleye, tons of Black Crappie, and a Carp. 101379849_551238275764248_596139076977950720_n.jpg 101446748_290224675444231_1135410008113020928_n.jpg 101676412_734674860674627_3154212394360635392_n.jpg 101814719_723691931507916_7961598546090655744_n.jpg 101821186_248818209754514_2395355779839295488_n.jpg 101832678_564562980927158_7621732625702453248_n.jpg 101843031_723711528405569_2954457584297312256_n.jpg 101855265_1357997637729412_2927378266467598336_n.jpg 102263890_961748337595595_7831696719057256448_n.jpg 102402252_1503901129790858_8561006136130535424_n.jpg

"Only 115 sheds"

Western shed hunting is a lot different than eastern that's for sure. I'm probably averaging worse sheds per mile as most people back east, there's just a lot more land you can cover here is all. A shed every five miles can definitely be ROUGH, I had a few days this year where I never thought I'd find another antler ever again.

Last time I seen you and a rattlesnake you spent about $15.00 making sure he was dead... lol.
Keep enjoying life and God’s creation bud!

That one didn't let me know it was there and decided to take a piece of my jeans as a souvenir for about .01 seconds.
