    Nockturnal lighted nocks...WOW!

I started using Nockturnal nocks and was happy with them. But for the past several years, I've used some from TGBarchery.com. They make their own, just like Nockturnals for half the price. Have had great luck with them.

    Arrows with GPS

I've seen around on the old interweb there are few attempts at making your arrow traceable via GPS, or radio transponder. Anybody ever actually used or tried this? I shot a buck this past November and followed good blood (both sides of trail, entry and exit) until it magically stopped...

    Hog Hunt - Tips?

Thanks for the info guys! I was going to use some Muzzy MX-3 fixed blade broadheads that I have from deer hunting. Hopefully those fall into you "tough broadhead" category :) That's great to know that they have that good of a nose on them! I'll have to scent down and check into that "HOG...

    Hog Hunt - Tips?

Well, since I've gotten hooked on this whole bow hunting thing about 4 years ago, I've only been chasing whitetail which I've learned (often the hard way) is quite a challenge. Some friends and I are always looking for something to do in that "down" time of year of January/Feb. where it's often...

    Hanging your Pack

I was reminded again in the stand this last weekend how sometimes it's such a pain to hang my backpack in the tree. I've always used a screw in step and depending on the tree, sometimes it requires way to much time/effort to screw in the stupid step just to hang the bag on. Wondering what...

    Muzzleloader

Gun Smith can probably get it out (drilling or other method) and not scrap the gun. For the future, put copper anti-seize lubricant on the threads of the breach plug to help prevent it from seizing. This doesn't mean you don't take it out and clean it, it's just a good preventative measure.

    Need your opinions!!!

Lol, sounds like you're more efficient in taking deer with vehicles than I am with my bow! LOL :)

    Need your opinions!!!

I bought a traditions w/thumbhole stock and put a Nikon Omega scope and love it! I don't know that there's a huge difference between the Traditions, CVA, T/C, probably a Ford/Chevy kind of thing. Each probably has their own positives/negatives but they should all kill deer just fine. If the...

    Public Land Advice

Get in there early before it gets pressured. Of course it depends on the location but some of the pieces I hunt will get pressured in early muzzleloader season by hunters that don't worry about remaining undetected (ie stand/walk in the open, don't care about scent etc) and it often will push...

    movement tonight

This morning I was hunting in funnel between 2 bedding areas. It was dead quiet. Didn't see a deer. Got down about 9:30 tired of sitting there without even a noise....walked to top of ridge and glassed big CRP valley. Spotted real nice buck chasing a doe and he chased her into the timber...

    Most Overrated Hunting Personality

I like Midwest Whitetail and Heartland Bowhunter. HB has gotten a little more commercialized after they started winning TV awards but still not nearly as bad as others. They are generally about the hunt, the comradery with fellow hunters, exposing and teaching youth to hunting, and they don't...

    Interesting trail cam pics

I have no frame of reference on the Lorax...is that a good one (B&C?) or is it just average? Was your cam setup on a Lorax lick? Lol...that's a pretty good pic. Makes me think I'll have a trail cam pic on my next pull with Dora the Explorer walking by waving since the inside of my house has...

    IQ Bow Sight??????

I seriously looked at them also and had a few bow shop guys tell me you end up concentrating too much on centering the the little dot rather than your target. I never tried one, don't know if this is true or would be better/worse than centering a white ring in a peep. Just saying what they...

    Kenosha salmon fishing

I did a charter out of Kenosha that was great! I caught a 21lb trophy brown trout and we limited out on Salmon (all 4 of us). It was an absolute blast and the crew was great. It was about 10 years ago but the same guy is captain and the charter is still going strong. I was on the "Albatross"...
