    Pheasants anyone?

It's also a family tradition in our family with Uncles, cousins, brothers and our kids. We did pretty good...shot 27 on Saturday and 30 on Sunday. All before noon both days! They are coming back...

    Rut report 2020

I have logged 40-50 miles this past weekend pond jumping ducks and I have not seen 1 Buck bird dogging a doe yet. I'm still seeing groups of does with there fawns feeding together. I'm in SW Iowa FYI.

    Scope suggestions?

I've always been a fan of a 50mm lens just for field of view and pulling in light. As far as magnification that will be totally up to your liking! Be prepared to get a lot of different opinions on this subject! FF

My teenage boys have been out quite a bit here lately and neither one of them said they have seen a buck pushing a doe yet. SW Iowa ICE conditions

They went out over the weekend and said their was a good 6-7 inches and most definitely added a few more the past few days. Sounds like Saturday with a high in the 40's should be a nice day to be out. It's going to feel like a heat wave! Thanks for all your updates. FF

    Speed loaders

I still use the old school one's that have the dividers in the middle that separates the bullet and powder. Most of the time I keep powder in both sides of the speed loaders and put the sabot/bullets in my pocket/vest. I have to precisely measure out each load with my Savage Ml II and don't...

    South Dakota Pheasant Hunt

I'll be up there next weekend on some private land an hour west of Chamberlain (Presho). Pheasant numbers I see are up from last year but the past few years it has been a struggle getting limits. Good Luck! FF
