Well that was a disappointment, ordered them on 12/30, got an email today that my order was cancelled with essentially no apology or anything. Unfortunate that the delay was so long as I would have happily ordered several different items if their site had worked. Bummed

This morning before the storm---very quiet, only saw 4 total--2 does, 2 fawns. Starting at 1pm, deer on their feet, but no mature bucks while in stand. Got down a bit early--whisker biscuit was frozen up and I wasn't happy about it, and there was a decent 140--150" buck feeding with a half...

Tonight was the slowest sit I have had all year. Was in a new stand that sits in a great funnel with a west wind. Two yearlings and that was it. Hoping tomorrow morning is a different story before the storm. The shifting winds could be a challenge.

Similar numbers to yesterday but didn't see the first deer until 7. Total of about 20--mostly does with fawns. One little basket that was running laps around my stand, one new buck that had nice split brows but he was acting pretty nonchalant towards the other deer. All told, good deer activity...

Out this morning--hot doe with two 150+ bucks on her heels at 605. Two more mature bucks about 730. Total of 18 deer--real mix of chasing but still some does and fawns together. Last night was the quietest hunt I've had all year.

Nothing wrong with that buck at all! Congrats. Looks like a great shot on a mature deer!

Any update? Hope it's not the classic no news is bad news that happens sometimes with the stories of a questionable hit. Hoping things turned out well for you guys!

Was it just me or did the buck take off with the rope still attached? I didn't have audio so maybe I missed something. Had a deer stuck in a window well at a family member's house and got it out similarly. Unfortunately found the same deer hung up between two trees dead a couple weeks later...

iowavf I wasn't attempting to use factual numbers to make an argument, was merely trying to point out the fallacy of comparing party hunting shooting accidents (non self-inflicted) to self-induced accidents such as falling out of a tree stand or through the ice. Again, not arguing either side...

Had a doe and twin fawns about 65 yards behind me, that was it for deer. Was entertained for a good hour and a half by 3 nice toms that roosted above me then spent 45 minutes making feathers and blood fly. Best turkey fight I've ever seen. Debating where to sit tonight---travel corridor along...
