my camera
I got a Nikon D50 last weekend.
The picture was with my Tamron 300 2.8 lens by my hunting ground.
The Lens is all manual. I had it for years using it on my Canon FTb.
I was in my van and was using my window mount.
The deer are in the alfalfa. in front of my blind is a patch of winter wheat. That will be plowed up soon to put in Biologic maximum. That will stay in till a month before bowseason when winter wheat will be put back in.
I was using my new Nikon D50 with my manual Tamron 300 2.8 lens.

I just got an email from Mike. He weighed Jenny's turkey when they got home.
It was 26 lbs.
Her shot was 25 yards and she was using her Grandfathers 16 ga.

I got my new (used) Rodney Wright Stalker today in the Mail.

It is 46" 53@27" and should be great for deer.

If you hunt an area that does like, keep your eyes on the deer. They can spot and hear thing you can't.
Last night I had a doe and fawn in the winter wheat in front of my blind.
After awhile the deer looked towards the woods and stared. Out came a buck, tore up a few trees then headed towards...
Nikon 8800
I got the Nikon 8800 last winter just for the blind and driving around for deer.
The last few weeks most of the buck pictures were after sundown and long exposures.
the Nikon 8800 is an 8 megapixel camera with a 10x zoom equal to a 350 mm lense.
it also has anti shake in it which...
Like the last few weeks, the deer aren't coming out till way past sunset. All these pictures are 4-6 second exposures.
Its nice when the bucks stand still for the whole exposure.
nice size doe
Saturday I went to the field I hunt. I parked by the gate and waited for the deer to come out. The deer have been coming out after sunset, which makes for alot of pictures that arent sharp because of movement. These pictures were 2-4 sec exposures and the 8 was nice enough to stand still for a...
