Beans or corn for food plots

I contacted my DNR point of contact and he stated they won't be doing a spring distribution of round up ready corn and beans this year through the NWTF. Does anyone know of any other programs or outlets for free or reduced prices for round up ready seed? Please shoot me a PM. Thanks.

    ATV or pull behind spreader

Anyone know of an ATV or pull behind spreader in which the throat can be adjusted (reliably) for small seeds such as turnips, rape, clover, etc? Hand spreaders can take forever on bigger fields.

    Yote with coon

Cam check tonight produced one of the most unique pics I have ever got, so thought I would share it. The coon looks stiff, so I assume it was dead when he picked it up.

When it it too late to plant corn for plots?

Any experience with how late you can plant corn if it is just going to be left standing for plots? I assume farmers want to get it in as early as possible so it has time to dry for harvest, but can you still get decent ears if you wait till mid-june or so? The river is in some of our fields...

    JD 7000 planter chain question

The seed box driver chain gave up the ghost on our planter today. Does anyone know if Theisens or a similar place stocks them, or am I stuck with getting one on line? I plan to call the local JD dealer tomorrow also. Thx.

    Meandering river rules

I like to do a little duck hunting and was wondering if anyone knows what the rules are for hunting the backwaters of a meandering river. Is it legal for the public to hunt as long as you stay below the normal high water line, or do you need the landowners permission?

Turkey scouting - the easy way!

I bought 2 Plotwatchers last fall, mainly because I wanted to just see how many deer were hitting our larger/destination food plots. I figure they will work for turkey scouting just as well, so hung them both today looking over some fields. Depending on what they show and when the birds are...
