I got a Cabela's outfitter series trail cam last spring and it's by far the best one I've used. Pics are great and it's easy to use. I would get a couple thousand pics a week and the batterys powered it for two months and still had 1/3 life left. Very nice to go with black IR too. Just my .02
Sitting in a ground blind as I post this. Man is it hot. Checked the card from my cam when I got here and most activity is 6-7 a.m. It did show my target buck walking by my blind 10 yards away a couple nights ago! Hopefully he'll wander by tonight or at least maybe I can fill a doe tag. Hope...
If you don't need to shoot 3 1/12" shells, you should look at the Benelli M2. I have one & love it. I think it's basicallythe same as a SBE except it doesn't shoot the big shells ??
I bought a brand new HP from Wal-mart a month ago for $600 & it didn't work. Thankfully they let me return it. I then went & bought 2 new ram sticks for my 7 year old computer from DIT & installed them (very easy by the way) and it made a huge difference in performance. I went from 512 to...
Yep, I use this or the blue bags of coarse salt the sell at Menard's. I think any plain coarse salt will work fine. I do mix in the occasional mineral.
I have a Benelli M2 field & love it. It's a couple hundred cheaper than the SBE2 & the only real difference I can see is that it won't shoot 3.5 inch shells. I switched from a Browning & won't go back. I don't know anyone that has owned that new Stoeger yet. The Benelli isn't cheap but I expect...
So I originally thought (as others may have) that you were claiming the first pic in the weeds was turned into the nice looking fields in the other pics after just one pass & I was going to cry B.S. But after the last post I get it. Any pics of how bad the nice plots were before you disked it ?
That's it this bill is complete BS. If I can't run a feeder or mineral site in the off season, then no one should be allowed to plant food plots. Yes i said it ! I wouldn't want a deer to lick a clover leaf another deer licked & catch a disease. Are you kidding me ? Then I guess no more...
Wildview EZ cam, $60 from Cabela's. I have 4 & have used them for the last 3 years. I think they have good trigger speed & battery life. The price is unbeatable, unless you get one of those $40 junkers from Wal-Mart. I imagine those are not great.
I had the same gun & it had problems with cartridges jamming. I've since traded it in. My understanding is some of them have constant problems & some work great. If you start to have issues I'd suggest trading it. I really did like how the gun felt & shot though. I'm currently considering a...
On private property I'll continue to use corn & salt for trail cams. I don't care what they pass. The biggest problem with this state is the DNR. They have way too much power. I think the head of the DNR should be an elected position anyway.
I suggest buying a couple 12V batterys like you can use in feeders or for depth finders. Then just make a case for it. They will take thousands of pics before they need charged again. only about a $50 investment for two with a homemade case. Bass pro & Cabela's carry them but your local bait...
