    Iowa Bowhunters!!

Get ready resident hunters....Soon, with the prices going out the roof, the supply will outweigh the demand... Then the DNR will need more money and guess where they will get it... Let's see the price of resident deer licenses go to around $100 or $150 and see how the residents like it...

    Iowa Bowhunters!!

I'm not complaining....I just stated a fact that I'm not supporting an organization that don't look out for my best interest... If you look at the previous post, you'll see where one person said for the non-residents to join... I just stated a fact that I'm not going to join.... The only...

    Iowa Bowhunters!!

You are probably right...I fail to see the lighter side because I am on the outside looking in.... I don't think the IBA is responsible for Iowa having a great deer herd.... Heck, I don't even think you have an antler restriction...So where is the QDM? The main reason the deer are so big...

    Iowa Bowhunters!!

Why should I give my money to the organization who probably had a lot to do with the price of non-resident tags going up... The state and community gets enough of my money when I finally do get to draw a tag...I'm not sending anymore... Let them lobby to lower the cost of non-resident or...

    NR License Refunds

I can't wait till they double the price of the resident tags and reduce the number of deer they can kill and stop letting residents shoot bucks with a party hunt if they don't have a buck tag..... Then it will get interesting.....

    NR tags exceed $500

Iowa will probably see the average man quit coming to Iowa and the rich man taking over which will be the downfall of hunting in Iowa.. I have friends that I have met over the years in Iowa by just knocking on doors and asking permission... I have close to 850 acres that I can hunt for...

    leased ground

I have 320 acres that I lease and I pay $2100 for everything except the shotgun season on 240 of those acres.... I probably won't lease it next year because I have close to 1000 acres that I can hunt for free just by talking to landowners and asking permission to hunt...I just bowhunt and I can...

    Bowhunting Missouri

Hi Guy's I am looking into hunting Missouri this year and was wondering if anyone has ever hunted "Lower Hamburg Bend Conservation Area". It looks to me like it would be a good spot but I know absolutely nothing about it.. If I bowhunted it could I look for a lot of pressure on it or would...

    Tennessee Man Guilty

"He paid them to move to Iowa" I think I missed something...Where exactly does it show that he paid them to move to Iowa... If he did do that and it was proven, then that tells me he's got more money than sense...

    Tennessee Man Guilty

Not to stir the pot or anything but you need to stop pointing the finger at just the guy from Tennessee because the "RESIDENTS" from "IOWA" was providing him with tags and getting his mail and sending it to Tennessee... Looks to me like Non-Residents isn't the only problem....

    Interesting...

Like I've said before, I don't come to Iowa just to kill a big buck...In fact I've hunted in Iowa for 3 years and I've never pulled my bow back on a deer (let alone a buck)...I come to Iowa because I love going to a different place and Iowa is one of the best places to come...Luckily I've met...

Preach on Magic_man.... You just explained what I have been trying to say... I believe something big is on the horizon in the future...Who knows they may just outlaw party hunting...If they do, lets see how many residents will abide by that law... I paid $250 2 years ago for a doe tag and...

RutNut... Not to put a damper on anybody's hopes for leftover tags, but NR any sex tags sold out the first day they went up for sale last year... I have a friend that started calling at 6a.m. and finally got through 4 hours later and they had 1 tag left... So don't think you are going to get...

Wrong on only the bow seasons... Here is a link to the website that explains it (you can only buy for the shotgun seasons and disabled hunters)...Read the first line that says new for 2008. http://www.iowadnr.com/wildlife/pdfs/08nrdeer.pdf You can only buy doe tags during the two shotgun...

    Interesting...

Thanks for clearing that up... Reckon that means that I'll be shotgun hunting this year with a doe tag and finding a party to hunt on the property that I've been bowhunting the last 3 years... These laws are giving me a headache...

    Interesting...

What the DNR needs to do is to shut down the Outfitters that are supplying buck tags to NR who buy doe tags and take away the hunting priviledges from the people who break the law. Don't take away our rights to buy NR doe tags because of someone else's stupidity...

    Interesting...

My question is will this stop the people from killing bucks illegally or just make them change the way they kill them? Plus if they party hunt, can't they kill a buck if one of the party members has a buck tag? Correct me if I'm wrong, please.. I would think that this would only make them hunt...
