    Which safety harness

I have used both the Muddy harness and the Summit SOP (seat of the pants). I used to use a lineman's belt and will never go back after using these two models... I like these two harness systems because they are light and adaptable; they can go on either over your camo or under a heavier...

    Your Hunting Land Description????

Since Sask opened the gate, I'll jump in as another non-Iowan. I am on the north side of 40, with two great kids, a lovely wife and a job that's just good enough to help us get by. Like most, I dream of owning land, but that window has pretty much shut for me...unless my once-a-year Powerball...

BT corn, not eaten by game animals Bad for food pl

This thread caught my attention, because a couple of older farmers in our church do not use BT (or as they call it "GMO") corn. They claim that their crop losses are higher than those of their neighbors, who do use the GMO. I was kind of skeptical. But I am also not a farmer so what do I know...

    Done With Treatment

Travis: Any parent can appreciate the ordeal your family has been through. What a blessing your daughter has endured this treatment and done so well. I will pray for her continued health and recovery! And thank you for making me take a moment to appreciate my own kids just a little bit more...

All neighboring states allow more NRs

Well I guess there are a lot of ways one can play with numbers, so I found this thread interesting. Especially since I live in MN, a state that I call (regretfully) "home of the most underachieving deer herd." My buddy and I are kind of deer geeks. We also have had the pleasure of hunting Iowa...

    WORST Managed State for Whitetails

Compelling argument, Sligh. But I'll have to counter with MN. * Gun season starts first weekend of November, statewide. (In the southeast, this was a bucks-only season until just recently)Season last for 16 days. * Right after general firearms season, two weeks of muzzleloader hunting. Bucks...

    Bowman's Blog Discussion

Excellent thread and post Just from the aerial/topo, you have this stand site dialed. And the approach is perfect for a morning sit. Those uphill hikes are a bear, but since I started this practice my success on a.m. sits has soared. Keep up the good work!
