About time I get this put up, eh? Had a tough season the first few days. Just not that many birds in my area anymore it seems. Finally got lucky on the last morning of first season and accidentally sat almost right under the tree where this guy was roosted. I actually walked almost right under him. Started hearing him spit and drum and seeing a bunch of hens all around me as it started to break into daylight. I was figuring on him flying down to an opening to my right about 35 yds away, but was ready to swing incase. He jumped off that limb and came right at me and landed at 5yds! Too damn close and I actually missed my first shot with the 12 ga... lol. Put another one in the chamber and dropped him at 10yds. 21.4 lbs , 13/16" spurs, 9 5/8" beard.
