My gun safe gave birth to a bouncing baby 44 mag lever gun this weekend. Likely use the Leverevolution ammo for deer this fall for the kids unless someone has other input.
 
If you don't go with the Leverevolution, check out what Barnes has to offer. Its hard to beat the knockdown power of those copper bullets!
 
I looked at a 45-70 this weekend and i about crapped when i picked it up, i forgot how heavy those things are. I put it back down.
Is the .44mag lighter weight?
