BD's 2015 Trail Camera Thread

I noticed I named my trail camera thread my shed thread......must have been having a case of the Mondays

Nothing different yet from the original- just changed the name so you didn't think you were clicking on a shed thread

Will be checking cameras at one property tomorrow and all the southern IA cameras next Saturday

most properties I hunt have mainly perfect typical decently wide and tall- but this property over the last 3 years or so has been having a ton of junk on the antlers- the antlers in my profile is from this place as well- hopefully that height is just a week away

I'm not sure- haven't talked to him yet. Sure hope so. If this deer is a 3 YO I will let him pass. Anyone else have an age guess??

They all look like they are close to done. The first buck with the split brow looks 3.5, just looking at his neck and side profile. The wide buck looks like he will add some more on the end of the main beams, but most of those bucks don't have any bulbs on the end of tines, etc that make me think they don't have tons of inches left to put on.

Last 2 bucks look around 3.5. Hard to tell sometimes. Nice deer though

Went and checked 3 cameras to see the growth of an 8 pointer I am on the fence about really hunting this year- I haven't seen any cameras yet in southern iowa- but I am pretty sure this guy is on the hit list- added some good inches

This guy is new - and I think he has the WORLD of potential- excited to see what he turns into 2-3 years from now if he makes it

and just a few other up and comers all in the same property

You have some lookers! Any issues with night time flash? The old thought was it scares the deer, any truth to that in your opinion? I don't mind infrared but when most of the bucks are nocturnal, I get tired of seeing only grainy black and white pics of them.

I haven't once taken a picture of a deer running off after a flash with these moultries- if anything I get more pictures of them checking out the camera right after and then more going back to their normal business after giving it a good smell. like you- I prefer seeing them in color than black and white

I am headed down to southern Iowa Thursday AM to check 7 cameras down there on 3 different places- pretty pumped for that first card pull

had an old friend show up on camera and a new one that I am pumped about- also here are a few others that had shown up and an update to a few others- the wide one added some height

This is a blury photo- from cheap camera im sure but he looks to be decent

Here is the buck I had a run in with last year - happy to see him back

and this guy- on camera about every day both day and night

Sorry for the duplicates- wanted to ask age and score on a couple specific so put them in a different thread
