Beardless Tom

I shot a beardless Tom this year, I shot him coming up a hill. He gobbled then went into strut. I yelp and he put his head up just enough for a shot. When I went over to him I realized he had no beard. 1 inch spurs 21lbs. I have heard of bearded hens but never a beardless tom.

I have not heard of a beardless Tom either, very strange but it still wouldn't keep me from harvesting the bird.
