Black Ovis merino wool

I picked up a set of Black Ovis, merino wool base layers last year and put them through the ringer all season. I was very impressed and just bought a couple more sets. It was my first season wearing merino wool and I have to say it definitely lives up to the hype as far as staying scent free and wicking away sweat. If you're looking for an affordable base layer I would highly recommend their stuff. Camofire has it on sale for about $40 a piece quite often, so it's a steal compared to sitka or first lite stuff.

Plus it's solid colors so you don't have to worry about your camo pattern ever going out of style as the trendy pattern!

All but one pair of mine are 190 weight. Hard to tell the difference between the 190 and 230 weight IMO, so you can't go wrong either way.

Orvis is a great company. On another note, they are warranty-ing out a 19 year old fly rod for me with brand new no questions asked.
