Flounder actually posted this on another thread. (For the 1st time- His thread was concise & clear). & ya- that Sucks! But again- transmitted by birds, stays in soil forever..... seriously- what can be done? I hope there’s an answer BUT - common sense says “nothing”. Just expect to lose 5-10% of deer. Which- that stinks. But- I’ve also seen areas where ehd wipes out 40-50% the deer. MT & some states - gets 80-90%. Mother Nature deals some nasty ones & new blows. But - heck, been out west “forever” and somehow they’ve “dealt with it”. I ain’t got the answers- far from it. But- I sure haven’t been convinced by any “experts” that they have the answers either.

Just an excuse to slaughter the deer herds to satisfy special interest such as insurance companies and farm bureau. Just my opinion but I can’t see any other explanation for killing all those deer if they know it stays in the soil and can be transmitted by birds.
