Looks like a good carry along camera. Nikon makes some really good cameras, I broke down & bought the D40X last month. Man does it ever take excellent photos but it will be tough to carry in the field with all the other required gear, I'm going to try taking it along though.

Funny

Looks like a good future homebrew trail camera. Check Hagshouse, I believe I have seen a hack on there for your camera.
 
Looks like a nice camera to me. Not that I know a good one from a bad one.

Hell a couple of years ago an 8megapixel camera would have ran you $700.

Looks great. Take some pics and upload to your computer and see what the quality is but I bet it will be more than satisfactory!!
