Fertilizer Question

I have a question for all you experienced food plotters. What would be the pros and cons of spreading fertilizer before tilling a food plot so that the fertilizer is worked into the soil?

My thinking is that if you spread fertilizer, then till and plant, the fertilizer would be down in the soil where the roots could use the fertilizer.

That is what you should do is till it in, specially with urea or high Nitrogen fertilizers. You just adding P/K not going be that big of a deal like with a clover plot. But urea needs to get in the soil or put on before 1/2 inch Rain. Hope That Helps
