Monday started with lots of gobbles but not in the right place. Called a bird in about 10am just like he had read the script for a TV show- I rushed a shot and missed. Just a little later I hear another bird not far off, I hit the call and here he comes like the first so I made sure not to make the same mistake. After that I thought things would be easy for the season calling for a couple of friends but wind came up and I think there were still big groups not busted up so it was feast or famine the rest of the season. From what I heard at local watering hole and a few calls to others it seems like there is going to be lots of tag soup from first season. I got lucky to get a second chance.
