How good is the Boone River area?

Hardwood11

It is going to be a good fall!
I have a friend that knows a guy (got permission) exchange hunt type of thing...

He said it is on the Boone River, half timber and half tillable, some CRP....what can he expect (rut hunt) I think. He claims it is has some really nice bucks, but I was just curious?

I would imagine the genetics would be great in that area, if the bucks get age on them.

I wonder if u can find blocks of “timber and hunting ground” with landowners having 300-800 acre parcels. The best areas of state coincidentally have periodic big tracts through out county. U find that there, if it exists, manage right and has to be good. Looks too good with fertile soil to not have potential for jumbos. Key is- finding place where they don’t get pummeled well before their prime. Obvious I suppose.
