did those of you with a treesuit use it before getting really comfortable with the concept. I used it for the first time hunting tonight and I'm not sure if it's for me. Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.

I have used mine just a couple times this fall. My fault for not working with it very much before season. I did struggle with it, but part of that was because the tree I was in had a slight lean towards me. I am not very confident with mine yet, but feel like it will be an awesome stand once I master it. The nice thing is being able to set up lots of stand sites with just steps, and not worrying about getting one stolen. Plus, no safety harness is needed, since the seat itself is a safety belt. Stick with it - even if you wait til after season to master it. I know I will.
