I just returned from a "Go-look-see".
Alot of does out in the open areas. Nice wather after the rain today. I was looking at a small 1 1/2 yr buck and some does in a hay field. I noticed a pair of big yellow orbs in the road ditch about 10 yards from the pavement. It was a large racked buck and I feared the worst. It's head was up but other wise motionless. I looked for signes in the road and on the deer of being hit. None. A HEAVY + WIDE 5X4 frame with a forked R-G3, Gross 160+. Then he stood up and began walking toward the field just as the rechargeable spot went dead. I had just read an article earlier in North American Whitetail about a huge buck that looked almost identicle! to this guy and the point of the story was the deer was next to a road in a public hunting area... which is where this guy was. Hard rattlin' time is rolling in and he looked vulnerable.
