lead only

Why do all the turkey, full, extra full, and super full choke tubes say lead only. When all the ammo on the market is copper jacketed?
And I was also wondering, if any of you turkey hunter, ever noticed that the inside of your gun barrel was getting scratched. The only thing I can think of that is doing that is turkey loads. I don't shoot steel. Just lead, and jacketed lead. But the shells I'm using are the remington premier mags. Which have no wad, just the white buffering around the shoot.
Thanks!

Lead only means NOT steel. Copper plating doesn't hurt, in fact do they even sell turkey loads without? At least all of the loads I've shot through extra-full turkey chokes have been, without any harm.

Steel, on the other hand, is much harder than copper-plated lead, or Hevi-shot or tungsten-matrix, etc. and would not be safe to shoot such tight chokes, not to mention potential damage to the gun.
