My summer projects

Thought I'd start my own thread and share some of my summer projects related to hunting.

My number one goal was to try and reestablish some fruit trees. So I planted 4 liberty's apples. And one pear tree.

Also tried a different way of establishing clover. I want sure what i wanted to do with this plot and the wet weather kept pushing if off so the rye got very mature on me. I decided to just seed clover and spray the rye. This was late may and it's coming strong now. I'm very excited to see how well the rye holds the weeds back

Looks real nice. Clover will keep coming in thicker if it stays moist. Where u get ur liberty apples?

Someone posted them on a local website like craigslist. And I met at the Decorah farmers market. Only $15 each

The neighbor has several different varieties near by. But I plan to add more anyway :)

Pretty proud of the progress on theses apple trees this summer. I had one pear tree with it that didnt make it. The clover is off to a decent start, planning to mow it tall tomorrow to knock the weeds back
