Everyone, I need some help. I got on the water in NE Indiana yesterday. Half the lake was froze over with about a 1/4″ of ice. The channels were froze over but there is a sunken island that is 3’under the surface. I marked schools at 12′ on the side of the island early and as the water temp came up, 37 degrees, I marked fish “roaming”, but no schools. I tried a black nat tipped with a gulp maggot on an 8′ leader off of a bubble, a beetle spin and also a 1/32 jig head with a small spinner tail. I anchored several times in about 15 ft of water around the island and worked back to the boat “crazy slow”. Didn’t get a single hit. Can someone please help me with what I did wrong?
