We had a pond freeze out a few years back after it got real low during a hot dry summer. We never put fish back in, but with the rains we’ve had the last year, the pond is the fullest it’s ever been. Picked up 300 hybrid bluegills to put in the 1+ acre pond. Threw is 5 Amur as well. If things turn dry, might need to catch and release the bluegills over to another pond this fall.

What is the wire or fence for in that pond? I see that once in a while & never figured it out!

So you can keep livestock by a pond and they can access water at one end but not get around the whole pond and muck it up and ruin the dike.
