Wings has been fortunate to work with some of the most talented

First Time Ever in Iowa!
Legendary Whitetails Freak Collection showing in Des Moines

JANUARY 19, 2001. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Å  Some of the most
interesting, bizarre and freakish whitetails of all time will make
their debut appearance in Iowa at the upcoming Third Annual Iowa Deer
Classic, February 16-18, 2001 at the Polk County Convention Complex
in Des Moines.

When it comes to interesting whitetails there are two kinds that turn
hunters on - Monsters and Freaks. While Legendary Whitetails
typically tours North America with some of the largest, most famous
trophy bucks in the world - this year they are bringing their freaks
to the Classic - 32 of them to be exact in a 100 foot long display,
featuring some of the most unique, interesting, twisted and bizarre
racks ever seen.

All the Legendary Whitetails are the real thing - no replicas. The
famous Hole-in-the-Horn buck anchors the display. Its 328 2/8 Boone
& Crockett points ranks it the #2 non-typical of all time. Sammy
Walker's "Louisiana Freak" is the most bizarre deer ever. Harvested
in a backwater bayou, this deer never shed its antlers. Year after
year of antler growth built up to create an unscorable monstrosity.
Stories of monster bucks locked in a battle to the death have drifted
through hunting camps for years. Well, proof of such a battle will
be on display. Back in 1995, the aftermath of a what must have been
the fight-of-the-century was found in Dallas County, Iowa. See the
two bucks, scoring 178 1/8 and 193 2/8, forever locked in combat.

Others include the Rhino Buck with a third antler growing from the
nose bridge, the Unicorn Buck that grew his antlers from a common
base, and the 18-Point Midget with an incredible variety of drops and
oddly shaped tines. This collection of natures' oddities is in Iowa
for three days and can be viewed for free with general admission to
the show.

The Iowa Deer Classic also features hundreds of trophy whitetails,
world class seminar speakers, archery & shooting events, hundreds of
exhibitors, contests, door prizes, great food & fun. Admission is
just $9.00 for adults, and $5.00 for youth (age 7 to 12) - with kids
under 7 admitted free. Friday night is family night when kids under
16 get in free and the first 200 people through the door receive a
free gift. Extended show hours are Fri. 4:00pm to 10:00pm, Sat. 9:00
am to 7:00 pm, and Sun. 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. For more information,
call 1-800-875-9453 or visit www.iowadeerclassic.com.
