Question on Fall Food Plot in Creek Bottom

I've got a creek bottom that is pretty open and has lots of reeds canary grass that I'd like to put a fall food plot on. I planted milo and soybeans but they got flooded out.

Any suggestions on this? Reed canary is a cool season grass and how would you recommend killing it and what would you plant? Brassica's, wheat, oats, rye? And when?
