Spotting Scope suggestions

I'm thinking about possibly buying a spotting scope just to be able to see how "Big" that big buck is standing out feeding in a grain field at the 1/2 mile fence. My binocs are Vortex Viper 12x50 HD's and work pretty well but looking to pull it in just a little bit closer. I'm sure it's all about how much change I want to spend but what has everyone had good luck with that doesn't exactly break the bank?

Thanks,

FF

I'm personally a huge fan of vortex optics and their customer service. I'd recommend a diamondback spotting scope and move up to a viper if you can.

Buy the best that you can afford. Glass quality is HUGE when you're magnifying something at long distances and a cheap pair from Walmart will be more hindrance than help. I've only ever looked thru the higher end Nikons and Swarovskis and in low light, at long distances, they are WORTH EVERY PENNY. Good luck.
