If I get a chance, I'll use a depredation tag on this gal early on. I've always heard that a deer missing a front leg is in danger of starving to death in a tough winter because they can't dig through snow to find food, but who knows? Not sure what the cause is, but guessing an injury from last year's season...whichever. Overall though, she seems to be doing pretty well.

You'd be surprised, had a 3 legged doe on a farm I hunted for many years and she survived some bad winters. She had fawns the couple years I watched her also and could run pretty darn fast when spooked.
