Venison Shepherds pie

BDAHMS

Be here Now
Since it is so slow on here- figured I would put a simple but great meal with ground venison.

Venison Shepherd Pie

2 lbs ground venison
5 lb bag of potatoes (wont need all 5 lbs)
1 can of green beans
1 can of sweet corn
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
small bag of lay potato chips
salt and pepper
seasoning salt (I used slap yo mamma)

Boil the potatoes and make a pot of mashed potatoes- layer the bottom of a baking dish with a thin layer of potatoes- i seasoned them pretty good with salt pepper and garlic powder

brown the venison and add seasonings- and put a thin layer of venison over the potatoes

spread over 1/2 the can of mushroom soup on the meat

1/2 can of corn and beans as well

repeat another layer of potatoes and other ingredients and finish off with a thin layer of mash potatoes.

this is a little different than most- I dont care for carrots in mine- so i switched it out for corn

bake for 30 minutes at 400 covered with aluminum foil, while it is baking- take the small bag of lays and smash them up- after the 30 minutes, remove the foil- add the chips to the top and bake another 5-10 minutes uncovered- this will add a nice crunch to the dish

simple and good!

NOTE- DO NOT TURN BROIL ON TO MAKE CHIPS CRISPY- THEY CATCH FIRE VERY QUICKLY!! or so I heard :)
