Very interesting gun bill SF466

This bill would require all private gun sales go through a dealer but it also calls for the state education department to develop classes to promote hunting.

I wonder how this will playout. Probably too late to go anywhere this year.

Basically the same thing as HR 8 which passed the house and is off to the Senate. NICS has proven to be a broken system, so how will it help to monitor private sales? Uh.... Dumb. Let's be honest here, they want to track all sales so they know who has what guns.

I missed the other bill. I thought it was interesting in that the control folks were dangling a carrot. I didn't think the stick and carrot shtick would work but it is the first time I've seen it.

It is also interesting that the course might create future gun owners but at what cost.

Again, I haven't been following this but does the bill have any legs?
