DNR Wildlife Biologist John Dunn said that the attacks happen when bear hunters start training their dogs or when dogs accidentally run into a wolf den, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Dunn warns hunters not to train dogs in an area where a wolf pack is known to live, but says prevention of these types of accidents can be difficult.

My friends have bear baits on some public land outside of Eau Claire and have a couple pictures of a wolf from their trail camera. Can't figure out out how to attach the photos? They said a bear hound was killed near there.

Yeah, the areas where the DNR say there are wolf packs and where there are actually wolf pack are a lot different. Up by my parent's they say there aren't wolves but yet they're seen all the time...hmmmmm
