Ok my thoughts are i know i cant change genetics on my farm but i believe in removing deer like this guy to make room for others ! This buck is atleast 5.5 yrs old possible more! And never topped 125 inches! But hes a brute of a deer and already busy walking bucks off of my plots if hes out there! Time to go ! 1st pic is fall of 19 i believe a 3yr old and then next 2 are from this week!! Any thoughts ?

I would shoot those old bucks all day long. I have a couple I didn't get after last year and now they are putting pressure on the ones ai want to stay.

#1. A 5+ year old buck is a trophy, regardless of rack size.
#2. I am nowadays very much persuaded that it is better to take out the older bully bucks and also some of the 3's and 4's that just aren't going to become giants. You understand that you aren't impacting genetics, but you are changing the dynamic of social structure, etc, and allowing certain bucks to move on while taking out some too.

I would take him out or let a friend/family member get him. Good luck.

What would you guys do with these two?

great post!! Killing old bucks is CRITICAL to management!!!! Huge!!!! Any farm will only hold XYZ mature bucks. Old bullies will sometimes take up 2-3 spots that younger deer could fill. Get them out!!!!
I am also not minimizing the “trophy” of them. They are still great bucks to shoot. I will get youth on them or I will use one of my tags. Or a buddy. Absolutely critical to shoot them!!!!! & fun/rewarding. Get em!!!!

Original post, Good bucks for bologna! Second set of pictures I think the first one needs to live a couple years, shows potential.

We have a bully that if I see I will shoot too. I think he is why other nice deer are not coming over. They might be bigger, but they just don't want to deal with his attitude.

I would shoot him ASAP with a land owner tag if you have one.

DNR has the deer exchange and the site to match up farmers and hunters. Maybe a new site for "kids who kill bully bucks" to match them up with QDM landowners.

I like it, I’d be willing to take the kids if the landowner doesn’t have time either.
