Jay, how do you get it to look so close? I have a 5D Mark II and can't get pictures out of the Tamron 150-600mm like that.
 
I always enjoy your pictures. This one I think is one of my favorite.....very cool!

I would guess it's because your camera has a full frame sensor and mine is a cropped. That basically makes my 600 mm lens a 960mm. I would think though that your 2 extra mp should make up the difference. Probably boils down to camera settings. I shoot in RAW. Settings for this shot were F6.3, ISO 200, Shutter at 320. I also shoot in full manual mode.
