I was just on the NWTF site and was looking through the records.

Can you imagine a foot and a half ground dragger!

My longest 13.5"......what's yours?

...my longest was just over 11"...it was off my very first tom and the closest I have been in the 10 years to follow is just shy of 10"...

...I have not seen the current record but I have seen pictures of some of the extra long beards and I was not all that impressed...since you get to measure your longest strand it can make some pretty skimpy beards sound good...

my longest was 11-1/2 but he had 1 and 5/8 spurs

My longest was 14" but he only had about 8 strands of that length the rest was about 11 1/2" with 1 3/8" spurs.

I always thought my tom with an 11 3/4 inch beard was rather large, but the record tom sure dorfs mine!

Longest beard that I ever harvested was a 14 1/4. It was pretty much a full bread,spurs were over an inch, weight was 28#'s with the intestines out.
