Well, not a mule deer but he sure has similar characteristics. Last Saturday I wussed out and decided not to sit in my tree stand,it was a whopping 9 degrees that morning. I decided to drive around some of my hunting areas to see what was moving that morning. Just at sunrise I spotted this buck we call the split G2 buck, tending a doe. I watched him chase her into an abandoned farm grove and bed down. I sat and watched for a few minutes to see if they were going to stay, it looked like a good stalking opportunity with a south wind and a hill to the north to hide me until I got close enough for the shot.
