Figured I'd start here. Looking to take a week off for Thanksgiving this year and take my boys fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. Probably staying in and launching out of Texas or Louisiana. Anybody have any good insight into fishing this time of the year in this area of the gulf? I'm starting from scratch here, as I've only fished the gulf from Florida, and in mid-summer.
