Tornadoes

Tornado went through just over a mile south of my home. At my place it was dark to the South but other than that you wouldn't have known the storm was anything serious. I'm thankful it wasn't a direct hit to the city but definitely destroyed Red Haw, Pin Oak building and severe damage to Country Cabins/Soda Pop Saloon. As if the tornados weren't bad enough then the snow covered everything. Prayers to all the families directly impacted by these storms across the state.

IBH, my son and I went down there Sunday to help with the clean-up. We hunt about 300 yards north of there. Pictures just don't do justice. Mother Nature is amazing and sometime evil. Prayers to everyone that was impacted.

IBH and myself were down there Tuesday cutting trees and attempting to help with the clean up. It is pretty unreal the damage. As mentioned the pics and videos you've seen really don't do it any justice. We ended up at a house, just the two of us and to say it was an eery feeling would be an understatement....one thing that was super wild was on one side of the road a house was literally GONE but on the other side of the road there was some elaborate tree house still standing...just wild what happens in a tornado....
I can tell you this, the Winterset community is a strong one!
