Just picked up today chestnuts crossed with DCO.
They will stay in my greenhouse till I get them planted yet this spring.

Interesting. What’s advantages to just planting a regular dco or chestnut??

If they produce in 5 years that's little faster.
I am always for trying something little different, if you end up having a problem with your chestnuts you want have different varieties of them.

Chestnut oak x dwarf chinkapin oak is a hybrid I hadn’t heard of being available. This will be a fun cross to see what happens.
